Urban and regional planning deal with the various requirements of society
(population, economy etc.) to the built environment and open space as well as
resulting conflicts and options for action.
Urban and regional planners have the task to coordinate the different claims of economy, settlement, recreation, mobility, conservation etc. on space and to attend and manage planning processes.
The bachelor in urban and regional planning is a first job qualifying program. The students obtain a well-founded scientifically and practically orientated education with a wide range of courses.
The main goal of the bachelor program is to qualify the students in approaching planning projects, processes and procedures with analytical competences and to develop and visualize solutions with the support of planning instruments, methods and modern computer supported applications.
The program’s specific quality is an intensive work in study projects. There, teamwork as well as a creative, conceptual and solution orientated approach towards practical planning cases are required.
