Faculties at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt
The 6 faculties at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt form the organisational framework of the variety of courses offered by the university. Anyone with an interest in different branches of study will find a wide range of course opportunities within the faculties.
Faculty of Applied Social Science
The Faculty of Applied Social Science oversees studies in Social Work. This offers a variety of course opportunities, including the in-service full-time Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
Faculty of architecture and urban planning
The Faculty of architecture and urban planning is still the only faculty of its kind attached to a university of applied sciences in Thuringia. It began lectures and courses when the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt was founded in 1991 and also offers cross-faculty studies in Town and Regional Planning as well as Architecture.
Faculty of Civil Engineering and Conservation/Restoration
Only set up this year, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Conservation/Restoration is the newest faculty at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. It houses the departments of Civil Engineering and of Conservation and Restoration.
Faculty of Engineering in Building and Computer Science
The Faculty of Engineering in Building and Computer Science has been open at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt since 2005. It has its origins in the former Department of Supply Engineering which, from 1991, carried on the training provided in this field by the School of Civil Engineering. Today the faculty is divided into the departments of Applied Computer Science and of Engineering in Building and Energy Technology.
Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Forestry
The Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Forestry has its origins in the former "Christian Reichart" School of Horticulture. Since 2007 it has combined the departments of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture together with that of Forestry, taken over from the UAS for Forestry Schwarzburg.
Faculty of Business, Logistics and Transport
The Faculty of Business, Logistics and Transport only came into being in the spring of 2008. It is composed of the former departments of Business Administration and Transport and Communications. The faculty is accordingly divided into the branches of study transport and communications and business administration.
