To make it as easy as possible for all new students to settle in, here's a brief overview of the most important things to know when starting your studies at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt.

Preparatory Courses

Some departments at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt offer preparatory courses, so-called bridge courses or pre-study courses, to brush up on what you learnt at school and prepare you for your studies in these modules.


Digital Learning

Digital Learning at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt is based on extended communication via e-mails, the use of the video conferencing tool Webex and the learning management system Moodle.


thoska+ Student ID Card

After enrolling, all students initially receive a temporary student ID card in paper form. You can collect your thoska+ ID from the thoska office once it has been issued. This ID card also acts as your semester ticket for local public transport in Erfurt and regional rail transport in Thuringia. thoska+ card


Using the Library

Your thoska+ also serves as your library card. You can obtain further information from the university library. Induction courses and guided tours for users are offered in agreement with the departments. Library

Finance and Accommodation
