Equality plan

The equality plan of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt specifies the university's fundamental policy goals and corresponding measures to promote equality within the statutory framework of the Thuringian Equal Opportunities Act. The law envisages the preparation of an equality plan for a period of six years, with an adjustment to current developments after three years.

The starting point for planning the measures is the proportion of women and men at the individual levels and in the various areas of the university. The goal is to achieve a balanced distribution of women and men at all levels and in all areas of the university.


Goals for university employees

  • Increasing the proportion of women in professorships, e.g. through quality assurance in appointment procedures
  • Increasing the proportion of men in administration
  • Empowerment of women to participate in higher education policy
  • Further development of family-friendly working conditions

Goals for students

  • Increasing the proportion of female students in STEM subjects
  • Increasing the proportion of male students in Conservation and Restoration, Early Childhood Education and Social Work
  • Further development of a family-friendly studying environment
