Deutschlandstipendium at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt

The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt awards "Germany Scholarships" to particularly gifted and outstanding students.

5 scholarships are available for the winter semester 2021 (including 2 subject-related scholarship for Master's degree in traffic and transport, 1 subject-related scholarship for applied computer science and 2 scholarships for urban and spatial planning)

The scholarship is awarded for two semesters and amounts to 300 euros per month, irrespective of income or state funding. Continued funding is possible within the standard period of study if proof of academic achievement is presented. Half of the scholarship is funded by private sponsors. The other half comes from the German government. The call for applications for the winter semester is scheduled for the end of May.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for the Deutschlandstipendium, for which students have to meet certain criteria, is carried out every six months.

Application Process

Applications for a  Deutschlandstipendium must be submitted by 31 August for funding from the winter semester onwards and by 28 February for funding from the summer semester onwards. The application is to be submitted to the Student Admissions Office of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. All students enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt can apply for a scholarship.

The following documents are to be submitted:

  • application form completed in full
  • curriculum vitae,
  • your university entrance qualification certificate; in the case of foreign certificates, a translation that can be transferred to the German system and converted into the German grading system,
  • for applicants for a Master's program: your undergraduate degree certificate and, if applicable, further proof of achievements according to the admission and selection regulations for the Master's degree course,
  • if applicable, proof of specialist qualifications entitling the holder to study the particular degree course at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt,
  • if applicable, proof of academic achievements to date,
  • if applicable, internship certificates and employer references, proof of special awards and prizes, other knowledge/skills and further commitment and/or proof of a special personal, family and social situation.
