Physics lab for school students

The school lab enables school students to experience and understand physical phenomena. It aims to introduce young people to the special appeal of the natural sciences in general and physics in particular through hands-on experiments. At the same time, they can also gain an insight into university life and the way students work.

The school lab has equipment that is not usually used in schools. For example, the "Strahlenschutzseminar in Thüringen" has supplied modern, computer-aided testing stations and a school x-ray machine.

These events are free of charge and mainly aimed at groups, so they can be incorporated into visits from schools.
But teachers can also benefit from our extensive range of equipment by attending professional training courses in the physics laboratory.

The school lab was part of Erfurt's Electronics Museum for more than 12 years before it was taken on by the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt in May 2013.
