Social engagement at the University of Applied Sciences

The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt is not only synonymous with good teaching and strong research. The academic staff, employees, students and the university as a whole are also active and engaged in a wide range of social projects. With its diverse activities, the university thus builds a bridge between science and civic involvement. It plays an active role in the state capital of Erfurt and contributes to the further development of the city and region of Central Thuringia.

The fundamental concept underlying these activities is documented in the university's mission statement.

Signing the Diversity Charter in 2008 was an important social responsibility for the university.

As a co-signatory of the "Declaration of Erfurt Employers - Erfurt as a city of diversity and tolerance, against racism and xenophobia" - the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt is committed to diversity and tolerance in cultural, economic and political life.

As part of its activities as a family-friendly university the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt has been a member of the local alliance "Strong for familieis - strong for Erfurt" since 2008 and is actively involved in the project "Making work and family compatible".
