FlexiSHARE - Reducing mobility poverty in CE peripheral areas

Project Description

In many peripheral areas, elderly, disabled, and low-income residents face poor public transport with fixed routes that do not fit their needs. FlexiSHARE aims to offer flexible, affordable alternatives to such mobility poverty. FlexiSHARE addresses mobility poverty in peripheral and lagging areas by supporting the development of flexible Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) solution and the FlexiRide pilot project. The project focuses on Selnica ob Dravi (Sl), Stropkov (SK) and Mirosławiec (PL) with support from the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt (DE). These areas face geographic isolation and limited public transport, which particularly affects vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, low-income residents and students.
