Purpose and grounds for data processing, erasure

By sending your application, you are making your data available to the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt (FH Erfurt) for the purpose of carrying out the application procedure for the job vacancy for which you are applying. This constitutes implied consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (1a) and Article 7 of the German Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). The legal basis for processing data relating to your application is Section 79 of the Thuringian Public Servants Act (ThürBG) in conjunction with Section 27 of the Thuringian Data Protection Act as amended by Article 1 of the ThürDSAnpUG-EU of 15 June 2018.

You are entitled to revoke consent at any time without giving reasons and to have your data erased. All you need to do is send an email to bewerbung@fh-erfurt.de, provided that the email account used for this purpose was specified in your application documents. Revoking your consent will result in your application no longer being considered.

The applications of unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed or deleted within six months after completion of the recruitment process, unless otherwise required by law or if storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence. If your documents are intended to be used for other possible purposes, you will be informed separately and your consent will be obtained.

Use of your personal data

During the application process, personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, qualifications, etc. are collected and stored. Your data will be analyzed, processed or forwarded exclusively within the scope of the application procedure. Within FH Erfurt, the processing of applicant data is carried out by staff involved in the respective recruitment process. Specifically, this includes the University Executive Board, the Department of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, the organizational unit in which the position is to be filled, in addition to the committees involved, depending on their legal responsibility (Works Council, Equal Opportunities Officer, a representative for people with disabilities).

In the event that external reviewers or external selection committee members are involved (especially in the appointment of professors), your personal data will also be passed on to these persons outside the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt.

Rights of data subjects

In addition to the aforementioned right of revocation, you have the right to be informed of the personal data being processed (e.g. in the event that you have doubts about its correct collection) and, if necessary, to have it rectified. In this regard, please also contact bewerbung@fh-erfurt.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information about any unlawful processing or the non-granting of your aforementioned rights.
