How to find us

The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt has three campuses within easy reach of each other and the city centre of Erfurt.

You will find the main campus of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and all the most important points of contact at this address:

Fachhochschule Erfurt
Altonaer Straße 25
99085 Erfurt

By public transport

  • You can find information about rail connections to Erfurt on the Deutsche Bahn AG website. As a rail passenger, you will arrive at Erfurt's main station ("Hauptbahnhof"). When you come out of the main entrance of the station, you will find a taxi rank on the right and bus and tram stops on the left.

  • The bus station is also located directly at the train station, where various long-distance coach services depart and arrive. You will find information about coach services to and from Erfurt on the websites of the individual bus companies.

  • To get from the train station to the university, take any tram line to Anger, which is located in the city centre, just one stop from the main station. At Anger, take line 4 in the direction of Ringelberg and get off at Hanseplatz / Fachhochschule. The "Fachhochschule" is signposted fro here - just walk back a few metres and turn right into Lübecker Straße.
You can buy tickets from the machines at the tram stops or at the EVAG-Center at Anger.
For information about the current timetable and public transport network in Erfurt, visit the Erfurter Verkehrsbetriebe website.

  • From the train station, take bus number 9 (Nordbahnhof) 3 stops to Steinplatz, and from there it is about a 3-minute walk to the Altonaer Straße campus.
You can buy tickets from the machines at the bus stops or at the EVAG-Center at Anger.
For information about the current timetable and public transport network in Erfurt, visit the Erfurter Verkehrsbetriebe website.

  • If you prefer to walk from the station to the Fachhochschule - which takes about 15-20 minutes - you can follow the tram route described above.

  • There is a Nextbike rental service point at the main railway station. You can rent a bike using an app on your phone and return it at any time to one of the ten "virtual" stations, including ours at Fachhochschule Erfurt. Nextbike cooperates with the students of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, who support the rental bike system with their semester fee. In return, FH students get the first 60 minutes of cycling free of charge. https://www.nextbike.de
